what Dynamic Women like you asked before joining:
Is Orientation Practice right for me?
Orientation Practice is for women who are carrying a great deal—responsibility, relationships, work, family, or caring for others—and are ready to begin holding themselves with the same care. You may find yourself here if you’re thoughtful and self-aware, yet often moving from pressure rather than your own inner knowing. If you regularly push through exhaustion, say “yes” before checking your true capacity, or long for a place where you can simply be with yourself—without fixing, performing, or holding everything together—this practice was created with you in mind. You don’t need to become someone else. You simply need a willingness to begin returning to yourself, one honest moment at a time.
I already have a full life. What if I don’t have time for this?
Perhaps that’s exactly why this practice exists. Orientation Practice isn’t asking you to add another thing to your life. It’s an invitation to create one hour each week that belongs to you. Many of the women who join are caring for families, leading teams, running businesses, supporting clients, or holding a great deal for the people around them. They don’t join because life becomes less full. They join because they no longer want to keep disappearing within it. That said, if you genuinely feel your schedule or capacity does not allow for consistent live participation, this may not be the right time to participate. We invite you to feel into this offering with honesty and curiosity in order to decide if you are willing and able to dedicate one hour to yourself for five weeks.
What will be required of me?
Orientation Practice works because each woman chooses to show up wholeheartedly. By joining this practice, you’re making a five-session commitment to yourself. Not to perform. Not to get it right. Simply to return to yourself. You’re committing to attend each online session live as consistently as possible, arrive on time, remain for the full gathering (including doing your best to return if your connection becomes unstable or interrupted), and engage in the practice with honesty and presence (silently or verbally) through writing and reflection. Each session includes partner witnessing, where you’ll have the opportunity to both authentically speak from your own experience and offer your presence through reflective listening. While sharing during partner witnessing is required, group sharing is optional (though always invited). Having your camera on is strongly encouraged, whenever possible, especially during partner witnessing. Ultimately, this is a space for noticing, practicing, and returning so your willingness to honestly notice your own thoughts, emotions, sensations, and patterns is essential. We ask that you please respect the pacing, silence, and structure of each guided session as well as refrain from dominating or overriding the space. We also ask each participant to honor the shared agreements of the space: confidentiality, speaking from personal experience, and refraining from fixing, rescuing, or offering advice. You are responsible for your own experience. You are not responsible for anyone else's.
What will I need for each session?
We encourage you to designate or create a space that feels supportive and uninterrupted for one hour. Though not required, you may like to have a journal or dedicated notebook, something to write with, water or a warm cup of tea nearby, a comfortable place to sit, and headphones (if they help you feel more present). We'll meet live on Zoom every week. Before our first gathering, we recommend you set yourself up to have a reliable internet connection, as well as download or update the Zoom Video app on your computer, tablet, or smart mobile device so that you can show up with ease. Most importantly, bring yourself and a willingness to meet yourself honestly.
Will I have to share during the sessions?
Yes and no. While sharing during partner witnessing is required, group sharing is optional (though always invited). Each session includes time for sacred witnessing with a partner, where each woman has an opportunity to speak authentically from her own experience and to offer presence through listening and reflection. Sharing with your partner is an important part of the practice and one of the ways we learn to hear ourselves more clearly. Sharing with the whole group, however, is always optional. You are responsible for honoring your own capacity. This is not a space to perform or prove yourself. There is no expectation to have profound insights or the "right" words. Simply to arrive honestly, participate, and practice.
Why is live participation required?
This is a live online experience. It is not about consuming information, but noticing yourself while you are here. The value of this work comes from showing up in real time, as one is. There is something different about choosing to pause, arrive, and return to yourself alongside other women who are making that same commitment. Due to the nature of this work, live attendance as consistently as possible is required as well as arriving on time, staying for the full duration, and doing your best to return if your connection becomes unstable or interrupted. Sessions will not be recorded in order to protect the privacy, vulnerability, and integrity of the space. We realize that life happens, and there may occasionally be a time you cannot attend. There is no expectation of perfection. You are simply invited to keep returning. However, if your schedule or capacity does not allow for consistent live participation, this may not be the right time to participate. What if I miss a session?
If you miss a session, simply keep returning. Life happens so rather than striving for perfect attendance, we invite you to approach the practice with consistency, honesty, and compassion. For your awareness, refunds are not issued for any missed sessions and there are no makeups or recordings available. Thus, if your schedule or capacity does not allow for consistent live participation, this may not be the right time to participate. Is this therapy?
No. Orientation Practice is a guided educational and experiential group practice. It isn't therapy, counseling, or a substitute for mental health care, and it isn't coaching designed to solve problems or create action plans. Instead, it's a space to show up and be guided through an intentional practice that orients you to what is present in real time, supports your nervous system through a process of body scanning, noticing, self-reflection, as well as provides opportunities for partner witnessing and sharing within our intimate group. Some sessions may include gentle grounding, breathwork, body awareness, or self-touch practices to support settling and internal listening. Together, we’ll practice slowing down, noticing what is true, recognizing patterns with greater awareness, as well as responding to ourselves with more clarity, pacing, and self trust. Again and again. Week after week.Do I need experience with meditation, mindfulness, or this kind of work?
Not at all. Orientation Practice isn't about getting anything right. You don't need to know how to meditate, breathe a certain way, or quiet your mind. Simply come as you are. Fran will guide you through each step of the process. What if I don't notice anything or know what I'm feeling?
This is more common than you might think. Many women arrive feeling disconnected from themselves—not because something is wrong with them, but because they've spent a long time orienting toward everyone and everything else. Orientation Practice isn't about having all the answers. It's about gently rebuilding your capacity to notice. Week after week, you'll begin recognizing what has always been there: your own inner signals, needs, and knowing. What if I don't keep up or do it perfectly?
You are not expected to. Orientation Practice isn't about doing anything perfectly. It's about returning to yourself exactly as you are in that moment. Some weeks you'll arrive feeling grounded. Other weeks you'll arrive distracted, tired, overwhelmed, or uncertain. Every version of you is welcome. The practice isn't to become someone different before you come. The practice is to meet yourself honestly.
